Stautzenberger Institute has begun to offer continuing professional education programs to area health care providers and medical office staff. On Oct. 9 and 16, Computers and Electronic Health Records in the Medical Office were presented. On Oct. 30, Medical Office-Outpatient Coding Update was held. Eleven medical office billing and coding staff attended and enjoyed presentations by Stautzenberger faculty on modifiers, evaluation and management, and auditing.

Sue Hahn, Director of Medical Technology at Maumee and Allen Park, announced that continuing education events for medical assistants, certified professional coders, and office staff will be offered throughout the coming year. Stautzenberger Institute will be offering Saturday courses to help medical assistants and billing/coding staff to prepare to take the AAMA CMA, AMT-RMA, and AAPC CPC examinations.
